What can you expect on your first visit?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive examination, digital X-rays, an oral cancer screening, and a professional cleaning. Dr. Hajiyani will review your dental and medical history, discuss any concerns, and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals.
How often should you schedule your dental visits?
According to the American Dental Association, you should schedule dental visits at intervals determined by your dentist. In general, patients require twice-yearly exams and cleanings. However, some patients with gum disease or those at a higher risk of developing dental problems will require more frequent appointments. Our team will evaluate your unique needs and recommend the ideal frequency of visits to maintain your healthy smile.
I'm pregnant - Can I come in for a routine exam and cleaning?
Yes. Routine dental exams and cleanings are safe and recommended during pregnancy. Good oral health is especially important during this time, as hormonal changes can increase the risk of gum problems. Please let us know you're expecting so we can tailor your care.
Do I need to maintain routine dental visits if I don't have any symptoms?
Yes. Many dental problems, including cavities and gum disease, develop without noticeable symptoms in their early stages. Routine visits allow us to detect and address issues early, before they become painful or costly.
What are signs you should schedule a dental appointment?
Schedule a visit if you experience tooth pain or sensitivity, bleeding or swollen gums, persistent bad breath, loose teeth, or jaw pain — or if it's simply been more than six months since your last checkup.
What if I have a dental emergency?
If you're experiencing a dental emergency, call our office immediately at (972) 905-0786. We do our best to accommodate same-day emergency appointments to provide prompt relief.
What counts as a dental emergency, and what should you do?

What if I'm afraid of dental treatment?
Dental anxiety is common, and we're here to help. We offer a calm, judgment-free environment, comfort amenities, and sedation options including nitrous oxide. Let us know your concerns and we'll do everything we can to make your visit comfortable.
How often should I brush and floss my teeth?
Brush at least twice a day for two minutes with a fluoride toothpaste, and floss once a day. Consistent home care, combined with regular professional cleanings, is the foundation of a healthy smile.
